I've Been Tagged.....Again!

Okay, so I've been tagged again by the lovely Gwyneth Bolton.

So here's what you have to do:
1) Grab the book closet to you
2) Open to page 123, look down to the 5th sentence
3) Post text of next 3 sentences on your blog
4) Include title and author's name
5) Tag 3 people

So, currently I'm reading a few Harlequin NEXT books, since I'm thinking of targeting my women's fiction series toward that line. And Stevi is brillinat and a member of my CNYRW chapter. So I picked up her latest and I'm loving it.

Stevi Mittman
Why is Murder on the Menu Anyway?

Madison says, "Men! We have an expression in Yugo-Slavia--send a man to the kitchen for a spoon and he comes back half an hour later with a knife."

I think, Unless it's in the dishwasher, in which case you'll get nothing because they refuse to open one of those, but I don't say it because I don't like to criticize men as an entire gender. Individually, however, I could rant for hours, especially about a certain new father.

Oooh, I haven't gotten that far, but now I know the book is still fantastic. I love Stevi's books. So now to tag three other people. Well, by now you all should guess who I'm going to tag. That's right, my fellow Fly Girls. Barb Witek, Danielle Bronson, and Jennifer Talty. Have fun, ladies. And don't kill me, kill Gwen;-)))

On a side note, some readers of the Fly Girls requested that we post more often over on the Fly Girl blog. So the new schedule is each of us will take one day and post a writing related topic, but still light and fun. So Jennifer will post every Monday, Barb every Tuesday, Danielle every Wednesday, and Kari every Thursday. On Friday we will post what the next week's topic will be and then jump right in on Mondays again.

I hope to see my fellow bloggers stop by to say hello. And leave a comment while you're at it. We love to hear how your process is if you're a writer, and what your views are in general even if you're not a writer.

Have a great day. I'm stuck at home since school was cancelled. Ugh!!!

We are cancelled too. We didn't find out until after we got in the car and drove to an empty building.

It's actually working in our favor though, as my kids were wiped from a big weekend -- just wish I knew befoooore I got out of bed.

Oh, man that stinks. I set the alarm and my oldest got up and got ready, ten I noticed the TV. I never thought to look because it was cold, but it wasn't doing anything out. Now, it's a mess. Guess, if I'd payed more attention to the forecast, I would have known. Oh, well, at least the rest of my kids got to sleep in.

Hey Kari!
Thanks for the plug! I didn't even know you were reading WHY IS MURDER ON THE MENU, ANYWAY? I'm having lots of fun with the series.
It's not snowing here, but it is 2 degrees. I'm having trouble getting myself to go outside for a trip to the grocery store. There must be something in here to eat.
Did I tell you that the first book in the series, WHO MAKES UP THESE RULES, ANYWAY? is going for up to $43 on barnesandnoble.com? How incredible is that? I wish I got a piece of it. Since I don't, I'm giving away some copies at stevimittman.com.
Gotta run and write!

Crap, I'm reading a book written by a lawyer, and it's not numbered like normal books are. Why can't lawyers just be normal?

btw, it looks like he's going to propose during a commercial break on Veronica Mars.

My kids are in school! yeah me!

I love Stevi! Hi Stevi! I'm waving to you!

Oh, how cool. So glad he still gets to propose. I felt bad for him. And I'm sure she won't care that it's not the superbowl. It's still on TV and that's still pretty cool.

Look at you with your pictures of books in your post! I'm jealous!! Oh, and thanks for the tag - BTW. Now I gotta go find a book. I don't have one close by. I guess you just gave me tomorrow's post. Yikes!!!

I love Stevi's books too!! Hi Stevi!!! (we missed you at the meeting!!) *waving frantically*

My kids home too. Not driving me too crazy. DH just got back, road were too treacherous headed north so he turned around and came home. Just have to keep kiddies quiet so he can still work in his office.

Now to go find that book.....

Kari! You did it! Yay! And tagging the Fly Girls was a great idea! Excellent! *g*

Now you have me wanting to put Stevi's book a little higher on my to-be-read pile! So many books, so little time... And just remember, as far as tags go... now we're even... ;-)

So tomorrow (Tuesday) we are already cancelled in Rochester because of windchill.

Perhaps I will curl up with a Stevi Mittman book.

THanks for the tip Kari. Kisses

Hmmmm, it's 11 pm. I just finished watching Nora Roberts Montanna Sky. Sigh!!! I'm in heaven. Anyway, maybe I should check the news to see if we're cancelled because of windchill too. Good lord, I can't take another day with my kids home from school.

And yes, Gwen, we're even. I tagged you a few times, and you were such a good sport. I have to say this was a fun one, though.

I have a stack of ten books in my "to read" pile. But unfortunately, I can't get to them because I have a seven inch-high stack of work-related reading about adult drug courts & the criminal justice system. UGH.
