Review of: A Red State of Mind by Nancy French

Well, I finally finished reading A Red State of Mind: How a Catfish Queen Reject Became a Liberty Belle by Nancy French.

All I can say is Nancy really outdid herself. I am not a political or even particularly religious person, yet I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Nancy is so funny, she makes you laugh out loud, while under it all, she touches on some pretty hot topics.

I've lived in the North and the South, so I could relate to many of the tales she talks about. While I might not agree with all of her views, I admire her courage and honesty for having the guts to write a book like this. And she does it in such an a likable way, you can't help but step back and think.

Isn't that the point? If a few of us would take the time to think before we spoke or acted, the world would be a much nicer place. We are all Americans, isn't it time we learned a little tolerance, acceptance, and forgiveness? So thank you, Nancy, for opening my eyes to a perspective I hadn't really thought about.

I highly reccomend this book. You can find out more about this book at www.NancyFrench.com
and you can purchase it at www.amazon.com

Good luck, Nancy.

Sounds great, Kari. I'll have to go and get this one and add it to my already toppling over to-be-read pile. Thanks for sharing!

I am in the middle of reading it and need to do a review for Nance too! I know Nancy in real life (we both lived in Philly at the same time), and she is as real and charming as is portrayed in the book!

The book is great...I'm trying to get more details from Nancy about her romance with her husband to post on my blog...her stories about the early days of their marriage are one of my favorite parts of this book!
