I'm in the Mood to Sing!!!!

Oh, the weather outside is frightful
But the fire is so delightful
Since I've no place to go
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!!!!

BRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Baby, it's cold outside!!

Is it cold out where you live? It sure is here. Okay, so my hubby went to work and the kids went to school. Guess what I did? Here's a clue.....

One of these things is not like the other
One of these things is not quite the same

There's a sea of men snowblowing their driveways, and only one pink hat. Can you guess now? That's right. I swear, I'm the only freaking woman out there snowblowing the driveway. And let me tell you, it ain't pretty. That sucker pulled me clear out into the road and I had zigzag paths everywhere by the time I was done. It definitely looks easier than it is. Of course my husband is a lot stronger than I am so he can control it better. I didn't realize until I was done and my arms were nearly out of their sockets....the stupid thing has slower speeds.

Oh, yeah. Once again, I'm back to moron status.

At least I didn't try to fix my washing machine. I know, 4 kids and 1 hubby....I CANNOT go without a washing machine for even one day. It's only two years old, yet I managed to break it already. So you can't overload the sucker even though it's a large capacity machine. Who knew? Anyway, one really ugly repair guy and $160 dollars later, I'm in business again. And now that my arms are so sore I can barely lift my loads of laundry, it ought to be an interesting laundry marathon today. Hmmm, maybe I can kick my basket all the way to the machine.

Needless to say, I'll be skipping the freaking gym today. I've had quite enough excersize for one day, thank you very much.

By the way, Jennifer Talty got her book cover for her second book. Check it out on her website or her blog.

Later;-)))

we still have not been hit hard on snow..which is good. Cold for the most part but no "big" snow. The kids are ready to sled or make snowmen..so it can (and will) come.

Yes, I think you've gatten enough of a workout for today. The snowblowing sound hilarious, though. You've got to put that in a book, especially the figuring out that you can change the speeds after being dragged up and down the block. LOL... Oh... sorry... I'm not laughing at you. I'm laughing at the mythical character that you're going to have doing this in a book... :-)

And Jen's new cover rocks!

I hear you. I'm the one who does the shoveling around here. Also, I'm in awe at your snowblowing prowess (I can't even figure out how to turn ours on).

It's FREEZING here.

It's freaking FREEZING outside here! And now it's snowing. Boooo. I hate winter!

Gwen, my thoughts exactly. My heroine has to run a snowblower. Do you see why I write comedy? My life is always a barrel of laughs, my husband, kids, and yes, even myself, give me such good material;-)

Oh, and as all the men keep stopping their snowblowers and staring at me like I have three freaking heads, I just wave and pretend like I meant to blow the drive way out that way. I'm just a creative person. Snort. I so didn't mean to make zigzag patterns, but I knew if I stopped, they would have come over to help. And that would have been even more embarrassing. Sigh. Darn pride!!!

It is so not cold here -- we got three snowflakes and (seriously) the schools were cancelled. For tomorrow too.

And I was to meet someone to check out a hotel for some friends. And she cancelled, saying she "couldn't get out of her driveway."

Oh man.

It's cold here too, but the snow is gone (for now!)

I shovel our drive every time it snows. No snow blowers here folks!

I love doing it. Shoveling that is!

Kari Lee Townsend said...

You can shovel mine, anytime, Manic.

I hate it!!!!

Snow blowing? Yeah, you know where my mind went on that one! Um, no pink hats here, I've got a really hot, hunky man that comes in a truck and plows my driveway! Gotta love that.

Now, I used to mow the lawn and I was told by the other wives in the neighborhood that this must stop because not only did it make them look bad and their husbands constantly said "Look at her! She mows the lawn, and in a bikini top no less." Snort, that was a long time ago. Now I've got my kids to mow the freaking lawn!

Thanks for the nod on my book cover! I'm so freaking excited!

You should be. It rocks, Jen.

I panic if I don't have access to a washing machine for more than 24 hours...

Funny how it doesn't seem to bother the men folk.

I have no experience with snowblowers, but my arms shake after a bout of weed-eating. And I can't mow the lawn without running into things.
