WHAT was I thinking??????

WHAT was I thinking??????

Clearly, I wasn't!!! Better question. What were my PEEPS thinking?????

Okay, so my peeps failed me on this one, big time. It was soooooo hot dancing and singing karaoke, that I couldn't stand it anymore. They all said, take your sweater off and you won't be so hot. Well my cute little outfit was no longer cute, folks. I didn't realize with the sweater gone and all the heat and sweat from my body, the krinkly tank top would lose its krinkles. I look like I'm wearing freaking Omar the tent maker's number one special!! Every time I lean the least bit, the shirt just sags, droops, and shifts with me, making me look pregnant for crying out loud. Been there, done that (4 flipping times)! I think I've paid my dues to motherhood.

This was NOT the look I was going for.

It gets worse, people. (Trust me, it can get worse.)

So I'm gyrating all over the dance floor, waving my arms above my head, thinking I'm pretty darn good. Look at all those people staring at me. Then I had to take a break and go to the bathroom, so I wave goodbye to my fans. I'm in the bathroom in front of the mirror (still not noticing I'm wearing Omar's special) and I raise my arms to fix my ponytail.

Gasp!!!! Gag!!! Choke!!!

No wonder those people were staring at me. I'm not a good dancer, I'm just a freak. I forgot to shave my armpits!!!!! I'm married, my husband wasn't with me, my sweater covers everything......so why would I shave? Oh, right, because I just might have one too many drinks, shed some vital clothes, and make a fool of myself dancing with hairy pits. Lesson learned.

Always, always, always be prepared.

Did I say it gets worse? Look below and you'll see just how much worse when someone handed us a microphone.

God, I can't believe I just posted that picture, but it was just too darn funny not to share it. And hey, you're in sad shape if you can't laugh at yourself;)) Stay tuned, there's still more to come. And keep going to jen-t's, barbie w's and Patty Cake's blogs at http://jen-t.blogspot.com http://irishbarbie.blogspot.com and http://patriciahock.blogspot.com

Fun!

You could have played off the pits like you totally meant to do that -- you don't care, your free of the mainstream empire and shunning razors to prove it. You go girl!

That is awesome! Next time someone asks you what happens at writers' conferences, just direct them to this post! And people think we're all buttoned up and boring...
